Most women do not know themselves and lamentably the men too are ignorant of their counterparts. Women in some parts of the world especially Africa and the East are considered as second class citizens but in the beginning of creation it was not so.
Who a woman is from God’s perspective
From scripture we realize that a woman was made as a help meet for man. However, the original language translation seems to portray a slightly different picture. The word translated Help in Hebrew is the word עזר ‛êzer pronounced ay’-zer which literary means to surround. Furthermore, the pharse translated “meet for him” is the Hebrew word נגד neged pronounced neh’-ghed which literary means a front.. Hence the correct translation was supposed to read “ It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a protector (surround front, i.e. wall or hedge). (Genesis 2:18 KJVR)
Therefore, a woman from God’s perspective is a protector of man. Doesn’t it make sense that God took a rib and made a woman out of it? Ribs protect the most delicate organs in all living things.
Why Satan tempted Eve instead of Adam
Again this notion has been misinterpreted by many bible scholars. Many feel that Satan chose Eve because women are weak. That is absolutely not true. A woman as we have alluded to is a hedge for a man. It is not possible to break into a person’s home without first breaking through the hedge. Satan targeted Eve because the devil was unable to get to Adam but through Eve. Therefore, we read in the Bible that Eve was tempted first.
The Bible is also clear about this. It is written that, “whoever breaks a hedge, a snake shall bite him.” (Ecclesiastes 10:8 MKJV)
I would also like you to notice that Eve resisted Satan for some time. She engaged the devil in a debate before desire overtook her. But for Adam there was no resistance. He took the fruit and ate it with no hesitation. The snake bit him with no resistance because the wall had been broken down.
Why women have a sixth sense
You might have heard that women have a female trait called the sixth sense. A sixth sense is a supposed special ability to perceive something not using any of the five senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. A woman’s sixth sense keeps us safe. It is like a little alarm bell that rings in women. Although they cannot pinpoint why it’s ringing it creates an awareness that keeps us safe.
One day my wife and I were walking back home when my wife noticed armed robbers ahead of us trying to hijack a females car. Had it not been for her I would have walked straight into the fracas and only God knows what would have happened to me.
A city without walls
I believe that if women where allowed and supported by men to fulfil their roles as protectors of the universe this world would be a better place. Making women second class citizens has not helped us at all. We are like a city with broken walls where anybody can at any time spy through without resistance.
Wisdom says, “The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as a high wall in his own mind.” (Proverbs 18:11 MKJV)
Men how do you expect to be rich and of sound mind when your walls are broken down and trampled upon?
Wisdom further declares that, “He who has no rule over his own spirit is like a broken down city without a wall.” (Proverbs 25:28 MKJV)
A man who does not recognize the role of woman will fail to rule even himself.
Be Blessed.
